MacRitchie Reservoir & the Central Forest Corridor
The Central Catchment Nature Reserve, centred on MacRitchie Reservoir, is Singapore's largest protected area at 2,887 hectares. It anchors the central forest corridor that links Bukit Timah to the north, forms a continuous canopy used by long-tailed macaques, flying lemurs and over 150 bird species.
The Treetop Walk—a 250-metre free-standing suspension bridge reaching 25 metres above the forest floor—gives visitors an unusual vantage point above the rainforest canopy, accessible only on foot via the MacRitchie Trail.
