ThornleyField is operated by Thornley Field Media Pte. Ltd. (UEN: 202412834G), incorporated in Singapore with a registered address at 10 Anson Road, #10-11, International Plaza, Singapore 079903. This Privacy Policy applies to the website at thornleyfield.com and any subdomains.
2. Information collected
2.1 Contact form submissions
When you submit the contact form on this site, we collect your name, email address and telephone number. This information is used solely to respond to your message. It is not shared with third parties, used for marketing or added to any automated mailing list.
2.2 Server logs
Like all web servers, our hosting provider automatically records log data when you visit the site. This includes your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL and pages visited. Log data is retained for up to 30 days and used only for diagnosing technical issues and measuring aggregate traffic patterns. Individual log entries are not matched to personal identities.
2.3 Cookies
ThornleyField uses a single first-party cookie to store your cookie consent preference (accept or reject). This cookie does not contain personal information. Its sole function is to prevent the cookie banner from being shown on repeat visits once you have made a choice.
If you click "Reject" on the cookie banner, no additional cookies are set. If you click "Accept," only the consent preference cookie is stored. ThornleyField does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or any third-party analytics that set cookies.
3. How information is used
- Contact form data is used to reply to your message and for no other purpose.
- Server logs are used for technical operation and aggregate traffic measurement only.
- Cookie preference data is used to respect your choice about the cookie banner.
No personal data collected through this site is sold, licensed or otherwise transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.
4. Third-party content
Images on this site are served directly from Wikimedia Commons (upload.wikimedia.org) under Creative Commons licences. When your browser loads these images, Wikimedia's servers may record your IP address in their own server logs, subject to Wikimedia's Privacy Policy. ThornleyField has no control over this data and does not receive it.
External links on this site point to NParks, the IUCN and other third-party sites. ThornleyField is not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
5. Data retention
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. Cookie preference data is stored in your browser's localStorage and persists until you clear your browser data.
6. Your rights
Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and, where applicable, the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
- Request access to personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of data we hold about you
- Object to processing of your data

7. Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Contact form data is transmitted using TLS encryption. We apply reasonable technical measures to protect data in our possession, but no internet transmission is completely secure.

This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
